The inaugural edition of Benchmark Canada: The Definitive Guide to Canada's Leading Litigation Firms & Attorneys awarded Davies its highest ranking, Highly Recommended, in both Ontario and Québec. It also acknowledged seven members of the firm's Litigation group as Litigation Stars and one as a Future Star.
Davies recognized in CSEC PPP win of 2011 Project Finance Deal of the Year award
Project Finance magazine awarded the 2011 North American Social Infrastructure Deal of the Year award to the $1.13-billion Communications Security Establishment Canada (CSEC) Long-Term Accommodation Project, in which Davies acted as consortium counsel for Plenary Properties LTAP LP.

The 2012 Lexpert®/American Lawyer Guide to the Leading 500 Lawyers in Canada profiled 30 Davies lawyers and once again ranked the firm as one of the country's leaders in corporate law. Three Davies Lawyers Named Lexpert® Rising Stars
Richard Fridman, Louis-Martin O'Neill and David Stolow were recognized as three of Lexpert's 2011 Rising Stars: Leading Lawyers Under 40.
The 2011 Rising Stars were selected by a 34-member advisory board comprised of managing partners and other senior counsel from across the country. This year's recipients were honoured at Lexpert's annual gala dinner on November 30.

Davies Awarded 2011 Lexpert® Zenith Award: Celebrating Corporate and Law Firm Social Responsibility
On September 21, Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg was awarded a 2011 Lexpert® Zenith Award in the category of Innovative Student Programs. The award is in recognition of the firm's Student Affairs department in Montréal for its annual student social responsibility initiative in which students and stagiaires coordinate and execute a volunteer project to benefit a charitable organization of their choice.
The Lexpert® Zenith Awards honour leading Canadian law firms, in-house departments, academics and law students who commit their time, skills and mentorship to acts of social responsibility.
Three Davies lawyers profiled in Expert Guides' Best of the Best
Robert Bauer (Real Estate), John Bodrug (Competition & Antitrust) and Sarah Powell (Environment) were profiled in the 2011 edition of Expert Guides' Best of the Best. This international guide compiles the top 25 practitioners in each jurisdiction.
The research process involves sending over 4,000 questionnaires to senior practitioners or in-house counsel involved in each practice area in over 60 jurisdictions, asking them to nominate leading practitioners based on their work and reputation.
